Dorn serves as keynote speaker at convention in the Philippines

Samuel Dorn, DDS, chair of the WVU School of Dentistry Department of Endodontics, recently served as a keynote speaker at the 22nd Biennial Convention of the Endodontic Society of the Philippines. His presentation, “Endodontic Emergencies: Toothache,” took place July 14 in Manila.

The convention, centered on “Strategies in Endodontics: Innovations & Solutions,” provided professionals and students with an opportunity to learn from experts in the field and share knowledge to enhance dental practice. The society’s focus is continuing education.

Dr. Dorn, who lectures nationally and internationally, is president of the Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation, the first American to hold the position. He previously served as president of the International Federation of Endodontic Associations, American Association of Endodontists and Florida Association of Endodontists. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and Fellow of the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists and Pierre Fauchard Academy. He has received numerous awards including the 2013 Coolidge Award for lifetime achievement, the highest award presented by the American Association of Endodontists.
