MD Tailgate – Saturday, September 13 at 12:30 P.M.
Join use for our annual MD Tailgate before the 2025 Backyard Brawl when WVU takes on Pitt, Saturday, September 13! The tailgate will take place at Erickson Alumni Center beginning at 12:30 p.m. Students should RSVP here. Students and up to TWO (2) guests may attend for free. All MS4 students should take advantage of the Career Planning and Advising Sessions provided by Dr. Hashmi on Wednesdays in Medical Education to optimize your Residency application with reviews of your CV's, personal statements, and Residency Program selections. For Future Pediatricians….Application now open!
If you hope to complete your pediatrics residency at WVU in Morgantown, consider applying to the Pediatrics Residency Rural Scholars Program. Benefits include a $10,000 stipend applied to your Year 4 tuition, your creation and implementation of a rural scholars project of your choice, guaranteed acceptance into the WVU Pediatrics Residency Program, and more. You don’t have to go through the Match! The earned and saved money is great, the completion of a scholarly project is fulfilling, and the peace of mind from knowing you have matched at your number one choice for residency is priceless. Application deadline is January 31, 2026. Career Planning nights are set up to allow students to meet with faculty and residents of various specialties. It is designed to make connections for research, shadowing, and mentoring in hopes of getting the residency of your dreams. It will allow you to meet with residents and probe what they think about their chosen field as well as ask about the residency selection process and metrics. This will be our 3rd year and has been the springboard to many long-lasting relationships. RSVP by September 29 (click here!), as food will be provided.
