MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Shorouk Elnagdy, BDS, MS, a periodontist who joined the West Virginia University School of Dentistry and WVU Dental clinics in February 2023, is one of a limited number of board-certified periodontists in the state.
Dr. Elnagdy achieved Board Certification Diplomate status and received a
Diplomate certificate in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery in June 2023 following the successful completion of qualifying and oral exams that, according to the American Board of Periodontology, cover all phases of periodontal disease and its treatment including dental implants.
“This is the final step in the board certification process and Dr. Elnagdy is now board certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery. This is a major personal achievement for Dr. Elnagdy and aligns perfectly with the mission of the department.
