Staying Warm: Department of Medicine Hosts Hot Cocoa Bar

With winter weather advisories, snowfall, and freezing temperatures gripping Morgantown and much of the area lately, the Department of Medicine found a cozy way to bring colleagues together during its January wellness and engagement event.

On Jan. 29, faculty and staff were invited to warm up at a Hot Cocoa Bar hosted in the Bruce McClymonds Conference Room. The seasonal event featured hot chocolate with a variety of toppings and light refreshments, offering a sweet mid-day break from the cold and a chance for team members to connect.

The Hot Cocoa Bar was part of the Department of Medicine’s ongoing monthly wellness and engagement initiative, designed to support morale, encourage community, and promote moments of connection during the workday.

Hot cocoa treat bags were also delivered to offsite teams at STC and UTC, allowing staff who could not attend in person to still take part in the experience.

The Department of Medicine looks forward to continuing its wellness programming throughout the year, with upcoming events focused on fostering engagement, appreciation, and a strong sense of community across all divisions.
