The Student Professionalism and Ethics Association (SPEA) will be hosting a “March Madness” fundraising event in which faculty members and D4 students will compete against one another in a bracket by drilling and filling various preps.
We are looking for faculty members to volunteer to participate.
During the fundraising period, students and faculty will be able to put donations toward whichever faculty or D4 students they would like to see in the competition. Of those who volunteered, the top four faculty and the top four students with the most monetary donations will then compete against one another in the bracket.
This event will take place in the sim lab during the lunch hour (12:00pm) on 3/1, 3/3, and 3/6. There will be three rounds, in which preparations and/or restorations will be completed during a given time limit. All materials needed will be provided by SPEA. The preparations will be graded based on the rubrics used in operative/fixed classes and will be graded by the SPEA officers.
We ask that those interested please reach out to sign up via email by Friday, February 17th. You may email wvusodspea@gmail.com to sign up to be a participant. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to any SPEA officer (Hillary Hainer, Ali Alsayegh, Bobby Gilbert, or Brooke King) or contact us via email at the above address.
