Winners of wreath-decorating contest announced

The winners of the Rosenbaum Family House wreath-decorating contest have been announced:

Best Overall: "Peppermint Lane," Mackenzie Tarr
Most Whimsical and Most Original: "The South End of the North Pole," Megan Williams

The wreaths were used to decorate the Rosenbaum Family House until they were voted on by Family House's Advisory Board. They were then included in the wreath auction fundraiser for Family House.

WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute restores quality of life for essential tremor patient

Tim Casey, 70, of Charleston, has struggled for 20 years with essential tremor (ET), which caused him to lose control over movement in his hands, drastically reducing his quality of life. But his life fundamentally improved after he became the 100th recipient of the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute’s (RNI) high-intensity focused ultrasound treatment.

West Virginia KIDS COUNT and WVU Medicine Children’s, in partnership with the Oral Health Coalition of West Virginia, has released an eight-page issue brief that highlights successes and challenges to improving dental care access for children and families in West Virginia.
