The West Virginia University School of Medicine Department of Neuroradiology had an outstanding presence at the annual meeting of the American Society of Neuroradiology with contributions from trainees and faculty highlighting clinical, educational and research excellence within the division.
Radiology resident Ahmed Farhat, M.D., presented a rare and educational case of aceruloplasminemia, and clinical fellow Justin Addicks, M.D., delivered an oral scientific abstract presentation evaluating outcomes following fluoroscopically guided lumbar puncture in patients receiving anticoagulation therapy.
WVU Neuroradiology faculty also served as invited speakers and educational faculty during the meeting. Director of Pediatric Neuroimaging Jarunee Intrapiromkul, M.D., presented on reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome, and Vice Chair of Clinical Research and Medical Director of Informatics Dhairya A. Lakhani, M.D., presented preliminary findings from a multi-institutional international consortium study focused on intravascular large B-cell lymphoma.
The meeting highlighted WVU Neuroradiology’s continued commitment to education, innovation, collaborative research and national leadership within the field of neuroradiology.
