Yomi robotic-assisted surgery

Residents and faculty providers have access to advanced robotic-assisted technology for dental implant surgeries.

Yomi complements, rather than overrides, a provider’s clinical expertise. Providers learn to first create a virtual plan for the placement of a dental implant, using detailed 3-D scans of the patient’s mouth. Yomi then uses physical cues to guide the provider along the precise implementation of that plan, but the system is also dynamic enough to accommodate mid-procedure changes.

WVU School of Dentistry was one of the first two dental schools to use Yomi in advanced education and patient care.
