Dr. David E. Sheinkopf (Dentistry, 1972) Scholarship
Qualifications
Endowment income is to be used to provide scholarship awarded in the name of David E. Sheinkopf, DDS for regularly enrolled full-time dental students in the School of Dentistry who are also dental students of the Jewish faith as allowed by law and as determined by the School. The recipients shall have demonstrated academic promise. If no such students qualify, secondary consideration shall be given to residents of the state of New York. Should neither criteria be met in one particular year, the funds shall be reinvested in the principal and rolled over to the next award period, and the next year's spend amount determined as planned (regardless of the fact that the previous year's spend was not used). Designation of endowment income shall be determined by the Dean of the School from available funds when scholarship applications are received and recommended by the School of Dentistry Scholarship Committee. The scholarships shall be approved and awarded by the Office of Student Financial Aid based on recommendations of the School of Dentistry. Recipients shall be making satisfactory academic progress as defined by the WVU Office of Financial Aid. Note - student must maintain a 2.0 minimum GPA. It is the Donor's intent that this scholarship provide the maximum amount of aid to as many students as feasible annually, up to a maximum of three (3). A student who is a recipient one year is eligible for consideration in any other year provided they continue to meet the selection criteria outlined in this Agreement. Qualified candidates shall be recommended by the appropriate officials in the School of Dentistry and approved by the WVU Office of Financial Aid. Funds shall be awarded in the name of Dr. David E. Sheinkopf (Dentistry 1972) Scholarship.
