Dr. David G. Edwards Dental Scholarship

Qualifications

This Endowment shall provide scholarships for students enrolled at West Virginia University in the School of Dentistry Doctorate of Dental Surgery program. The recipient shall demonstrate the following qualifications: A) The recipient shall be an above average student in class ranking and in need of financial assistance; and B) The recipient shall exhibit leadership skills and commitment to community service; and C) The recipient shall receive the scholarship at the beginning of his/her fourth year with funds being posted to the student's account through the Financial Aid Office; and D) The scholarship shall be first offered to a candidate meeting the criteria who is a West Virginia resident and intends to practice dentistry in West Virginia. Recipients shall be determined by the appropriate officials in the School of Dentistry in consultation with the WVU Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. Funds shall be awarded in the name of the Dr. David G. Edwards Dental Scholarship.
