Residency

The WVU School of Dentistry offers a number of postdoctoral opportunities including residencies in three specialty areas.

Overview

General Practice, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Pediatric Dentistry residencies are offered to D.D.S. graduates who want more in depth instruction in those areas of oral healthcare. Our residency programs are also known as postdoctoral programs. Dentists who complete our residency programs spend at least a year learning how to care for the most challenging cases in their field.
