Instrument Award
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS)
This award was instituted at the October 11, 1986 meeting of the Board. This award is to be given to a first year DDS student after the end of the spring term and is to be used to help defray instrument cost. This award is to be based on academic achievement and financial need. The award selection committee is to be a faculty member appointed by the Alumni Association President, the Secretary‑Treasurer and the Medical Center financial aid officer. The amount of the award is to be $500.00.
Deadline for nomination is April.

Dental Hygiene
An award for a Dental Hygiene student was instituted at the February 2002 meeting of the Board. This award is presented to a sophomore dental hygiene student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and documented financial need. This student must have demonstrated competency and professionalism in clinical techniques during the second semester of his/her sophomore year. This monetary award is intended to assist the recipient with the purchase of clinical instruments. The amount of the award is to be $250.00
